Tim Ryan VS J.D. Vance For OH Senate 2022 — Who Has Your Vote?
(NRPI.org) – In Ohio, J.D Vance (R) is running against Tim Ryan (D) for U.S Senate. The incumbent is Rob Portman(R), who was initially elected in 2010 and has no intention of re-election.
Is Ohio Traditionally Red or Blue?
Ohio was once a swing state, but that is no longer the case. Considering the state’s history, you could say it is a red state rather than a swing state. This state has 18 electoral votes, which are not as close as they used to be.
For example, George Bush won the state over John Kerry by just 2% in 2004. However, in 2016, Donald Trump defeated his opponent, Hillary Clinton, by 8%, which was the largest gap since 1988. This trend was repeated in 2020 when Trump defeated Biden by 8.03%.
