Rep. Budd Speaks Out Against Biden

Rep. Budd SKEWERS Biden — He Did Not Hold Back

(NRPI.org) – Representative Ted Budd took to the stage, just before former president Donald Trump endorsed him and fellow Republicans vying for seats in North Carolina, to criticize President Joe Biden and his policies. Budd, who has represented the state’s 13th District in congress since 2017, is competing against Democrat Cheri Beasley, a former Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court.

“I’m running because of everything Joe Biden has done and the policies that have made your life worse,” he pledged to the raucous crowd at Wilmington in reference to GOP’s country-wide movement, “Commitment to America,” that is against the Democrat-led Biden-Harris administration.

Budd, a self-proclaimed and endorsed conservative warrior, believes that if Beasley wins, she would rubber stamp Biden’s policies and make life even harder. A poll by CBS 17/Emerson College/The Hill shows that the senatorial race, 45.6% to 43.2% in favor of Budd, is very tight even though Republicans have not lost a Senatorial race in North Carolina since 2008. “He wants to hire 87,000 more IRS agents to treat all of these working families like tax cheats,” in rebuttal to Biden’s policies that have seen inflation rates and cost of living sky-rocket, making life unaffordable for the average middle and low-income American.

The two stand-out issues in Budd’s campaign are:

  1. Securing the Border– “North Carolina is a border state, and what happens on the border happens in N.C in 72 hours.” Budd has received the endorsement of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC), with the NBPC stating that he is the right man to protect the southern borders.
  2. Standing with law enforcement– Budd declared himself a pro-activist in the “Defund the Police” movement that seeks to cut the budget attributed to law-enforcers. He has gone further to write Acts that are in favor of the police, e.g., the No Tolerance for Rioters Act which doubled the federal penalties for rioting. In 2021, he proposed allocating over $90 million to help reopen the Capitol and better equip the Capitol police.

With a few weeks left to the Midterm elections, Budd will seek to gain more ground with his voters and clinch the victory by pushing his agenda as a pro-freedom, pro-parent, pro-law-enforcement, and local small business owner.
